Journal 001

Nothing in this world, or in this life, is static. Who we were last year, may not be who we are today. How we felt yesterday, may not be how we feel today. The opinions we had a decade ago, may not be the opinions we have tomorrow.

We all grow and evolve. That is the natural way of learning, adjusting, and becoming the people we want to be.

When we started Stone Fox Swim, we created a brand and a swimwear range that reflected who we were and the lifestyle we lived at the time. While we’re still mostly the same people as we were back then, we’ve grown a little bit older and a little wiser. And with this wisdom, comes the knowledge that the world is changing and the planet needs our love and care now, more than ever.

So, in the background for the past year, our planet has become our number one business priority and we’re excited to share the changes we’ve been making:

Creating new from old

We’ve been quietly working away behind the scenes to utilise more recycled fabrics in our swimwear range, while maintaining the look and feel that you have all grown to love.

Packaging that will return to the earth

Shocked by the amount of waste heading to landfill, and finding its way into our environment, we’re excited to now be shipping all orders in our sexy new 100% recycled, biodegradable and compostable mailers.
The old us wouldn’t have gotten so excited over cardboard envelopes, but the new us is over the moon! We love packing your orders into these earth-friendly mailers and sending them on their way to you.
The smallest change, for a big impact.

Keeping it neutral

Cash flow is tricky tricky for all small businesses, but so is an unpredictable and rapidly changing climate! We want to do everything we can to keep this planet the perfect temperature for long lazy days at the beach, so we’re digging into our budget to contribute to carbon offsetting programs like Native Energy.

A new friend at the laundromat

Whether they’re made from recycled fibers or not, synthetic textiles are the source of 35% of microplastics found in nature. Each time we wash synthetic fibres, tiny micro plastic filaments are washed down the pipes and into our waterways, where they can be inadvertently consumed by marine life and fish.
To limit the impact of keeping your bikini sparkling clean, we are now stocking GuppyFriend wash bags! These ingenious (and easy to use!) wash bags help limit the amount of microplastics that enter our water systems during the wash cycle. We’re excited to stock this revolutionary product alongside our signature swims.
